Sharing the research results: Sharing research results & completion of project held

The ceremony for sharing the research results and completion of the "Project for Enhancing Agricultural Trade Facilitation through Cooperation with Mekong-Lancang Countries to Support the Value Chain of Myanmar's Agricultural Products" was held on the morning of September 24 at the Jasmine Naypyitaw Hotel in the Nay Pyi Taw Hotel Zone.

At the ceremony, Deputy Minister Dr. Aung Gyi, on behalf of the Union Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation, delivered a speech. He expressed special gratitude to the Special Fund for Mekong-Lancang Cooperation of the People's Republic of China, which provided funding for this project, the Myanmar Coordinating Unit for Mekong-Lancang Cooperation (Ministry of Foreign Affairs), relevant ministries, officials from the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Myanmar, the UMFCCI, and fraternal associations. He also thanked all the experts who studied, assessed, and developed policy recommendations based on the research findings regarding market research and trade facilitation for rice, seed corn, soy bean, mung bean, watermelon, and aquatic products.

Following this, Dr. Sandar Kyi, Director-General of the Planning Department under the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation, presented a summary of the project's objectives and the research conducted.

Afterwards, Deputy Ministers presented copies of the research study books on the "Market Competitiveness and Export Potential" of rice, seed corn, soy bean, mung bean, watermelon, and aquatic products. These were received by officials from the relevant ministries, representatives from the Embassy of China in Myanmar, the UMFCCI, and fraternal associations.

It is reported that the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation has been granted funding of approximately  14.11 million USD from the Special Fund for Mekong-Lancang Cooperation to implement 42 projects from 2017 to 2025.
