





The Coordination Meeting (3/2025) of the Mon State Ground Census Enumeration Supervisory Committee was held at the State Government Office, Aung San Hall in Mawlamyaing on September 22. Attending the meeting were Mon State Chief Minister U Aung Kyi Thain, state ministers, and members of the State, District, and Township Ground Census Enumeration Supervisory Committees.
In the meeting, the Chief Minister stated that the committee meeting was held to ensure a complete and accurate basic voter list and to enable every eligible citizen to vote in order to successfully conduct the nationwide multi-party democracy general election, which is the state's ultimate goal. Departments such as the Township Sub Election Commission, General Administration Department, and the Department of Population, among others, are required to timely and concurrently cross-check lists of those who have died, those who have moved into their township for various reasons, and those who have moved out of their township, and continuously coordinate and align these with the current household population records.
Subsequently, U Yey Yint Tun, Joint Secretary of the Committee and Head of the Department of Population clarified and reported on the current status of efforts to ensure the accuracy of the voter list and to verify the ground population. Members of the State, District, and Township Ground Census Enumeration Supervisory Committees who attended also provided detailed reports according to their respective sectors regarding the progress of ground enumeration activities. The Chief Minister coordinated and facilitated the necessary actions, and delivered the concluding remarks.
