French President Emmanuel Macron reopened the two great medieval towers of Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris to visitors, marking one of the final steps in its extensive reconstruction following the 2019 fire.  The Towers are set to officially open to the public starting Saturday.

The cathedral, stood for 850 years, a landmark of Gothic architecture in the heart of France's capital, was built around 1260 AD. The rebuilding took 1,200 oak trees felled from forests across France to replace the framework of the roof and 1,000 construction workers.
