Demonstration and Trial Voting: Rakhine State CM observed trial voting to MEVM

Rakhine State Chief Minister U Htein Lin, along with U Aung Myo Myint, Member of the Union Election Commission and In-charge of Rakhine State, members of the state government, and relevant officials, observed a demonstration and practical voting related to the Myanmar Electronic Voting Machine (MEVM) for the public at the Khaing Thazin Hall in Sittwe in the morning on September 17. They also toured and encouraged the special cleanliness efforts underway for the beautification and cleanliness of Sittwe City.

First, the State Chief Minister and officials visited the Khaing Thazin Hall in Sittwe to observe the demonstration and practical voting related to the Myanmar Electronic Voting Machine for the public. U Aung Myo Myint, Member of the Union Election Commission and In-charge of Rakhine State, provided explanations regarding the MEVM. Subsequently, State Chief Minister U Htein Lin, U Aung Myo Myint, and officials observed members of the public from various wards in Sittwe practicing voting, using the MEVM and coordinated with responsible personnel to address any necessary requirements. Furthermore, the State Chief Minister and officials warmly greeted the public who had come to practice voting using the MEVM.

After that, Chief Minister U Htein Lin and officials toured and encouraged the special cleanliness efforts being carried out for the beautification and cleanliness of Sittwe City.

Additionally, in Kyaukpyu and Manaung Townships of Rakhine State, the District and Township Sub-commission Offices of the Election Commission also conducted demonstrations and practical voting related to the Myanmar Electronic Voting Machine (MEVM) this morning at the respective township halls, it’s reported.
