Hotels and Tourism : Operation of hotels in Yangon inspected

The Ministry of Hotels and Tourism is making efforts for development of tourism industry in Myanmar with the implementation of attractive tour packages and safety measures.

In addition, efforts are being made for providing better services to the tourists and sustainability development of hotel industry. On Saturday, Union Minister Jeng Phang Naw Taung visited the foreign-invested hotels in Yangon, and heard reports on arrival of guests, their services and operation of the hotels.

The Union Minister instructed for meeting the international standard services and capacity building of the hotel staff. He also emphasized to display the Myanma traditional handicrafts for tourist observance, to be cautious of personal hygiene and fire safety measures and to place pleasant landscape. He called for cooperation of all stakeholders in implementing for development of hotels and tourism industry in Myanmar.
