Commemorative Event : World First Aid Day observed in Myanmar

World First Aid Day is observed every year on the second Saturday of September to raise awareness of how first aid can save lives in everyday and crisis situations.

In Myanmar, the commemorative event was held at Myanmar Red Cross Society in Nay Pyi Taw. Union Minister for Health Dr. Thet Khaing Win attended the event and made a speech. The ceremony featured screening of video clip on the First Aid Day, and awarding prizes to the outstanding members and winners of the commemorative competitions.

This year’s theme, 'First Aid and Climate Change', the importance of equipping communities with first aid skills to respond effectively to emergencies, particularly in the context of climate-related disasters and changing environmental conditions.
