








A workshop to raise awareness and to draw road map on export market penetration of Myanmar’s dry zone agricultural products to Belarus was held at the Ministry of Industry on 12th September.
Union Minister Dr. Charlie Than attended the meeting and made a speech. In his speech, the Union Minister stated that accelerating the export volume of Myanmar’s agricultural and marine products to Belarus is one of the work plans of the Letter of Intent between Myanmar and Republic of Belarus agreed upon during the visit of Head of State to Russian Federation and Belarus.
The Union Minister urged on continuous awareness raising, information acquisition and sharing programs for growers and agricultural MSME entrepreneurs from dry zone to increase market opportunity in Belarus through systematic trading procedures.
After making clarification on programs of the workshop, the Union Minister urged all to share their experience and idea to implement sectoral quick win plan. Then, the Director General of Directorate of Industrial Supervision and Inspection made clarifications on purpose of the of workshop.
Next, the officials from Department of Foreign Economic Relations, Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry and Agricultural Department made presentations on further collaborative measures between Myanmar and Belarus, market opportunity and trading information. The discussions also included the drawing road map and project plans on export market penetration of Myanmar’s dry zone crops to Belarus.
