










Union Minister for the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs and the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism Jeng Phang Naw Taung on Wednesday attended the Paper Reading Session in commemoration of World Tourism Day which will be held in Nay Pyi Taw on 27th September.
In his opening speech, the Union Minister stated that commemorative ceremonies of World Tourism Day are held annually in Myanmar aiming to have better understanding of the tourism sector’s benefits in the State’s economic development, cultural and environmental conservation, human resources, and development for technology and infrastructure.
The United Nations designates the themes annually and the theme for this year’s World Tourism day is “Tourism and Sustainable Transformation”. Teachers and lecturers from the Universities and colleges under the Ministry of Education, Masters’ Degree Candidates, officials from the ministry and private sector participated in the paper reading session hoping to get strategies and ideas that can effectively benefit the tourism sector.
Then, presided person of the paper reading session, actingPro-rector made clarifications regarding the rules and marking system for the paper reading session. After that, the participants read out the papers. Next, the members of presiding board of the session reviewed the papers. The second day of the paper reading session will continue on 11th September.
