






Union Minister for Electric Power, U Nyan Tun inspected the 500 kV PhaYaGyi Substation project in Bago Township on Tuesday, accompanied by departmental officials.
At the briefing hall, Union Minister and party received updates on the substation and related projects. He urged the relevant officials to ensure quality, workplace safety, proper equipment use, improved drainage system, construction of the entrance road away from the expressway, and completion of all remaining work as scheduled time.
The Union Minister then fulfilled the needs. The Union Minister later met with the Ministry’s new-generation engineers who are working on power substation projects. He urged them to learn actively, gain practical experience, and pass on engineering knowledge to the next generation, during the meeting.
Next, the Union Minister inspected the construction of Control Building within the project site and the installation of transformers, shunt reactors, and Hybrid Gas Insulated Switchgear in the Switch Yard. He received updates and give necessary instructions. The 500 kV PhaYaGyi Substation project is 91 percent complete, with efforts underway to complete the entire project, it’s reported.
