Tour in Yunnan: Myanmar delegation tours in Yunnan

Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn and delegation on Sunday visited prominent locations in Yunnan Province, China, including Malong, Jiangyi, and Qilin areas. In Malong, they observed the operations of a modern transportation company using electric trucks powered by battery swaps, which take just 2 minutes to replace and 15 minutes to recharge.

The company, founded in 2022, is one of the top logistics providers in Yunnan. They then visited Tuguachong Village, which follows a development model known as "14335", focused on government-led investment, tourism, community service, income generation, and environmental improvement.

The delegation also visited the operation of village library  and observed the work place of artist who painted the world longest mural painting. The Union Minister also participated in a friendship mural painting. In Jiangyi, they toured a traditional medicine factory under Yuanfen Herbal Medicine Factory, which has produced herbal-based medicines since 2002 and moved to Qujing in 2024.

They also explored a traditional rice cake workshop making over 300 types of snacks, and later visited Qilin’s large floating flower garden, which spans over 2,000 acres with seasonal flowers, lotus varieties, crops, and tourist activities including boat rides and cycling.

In the evening, Qujing City Party Secretary Yang Bin hosted a dinner for the delegation. Meanwhile, representatives from the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture showcased traditional performances and local products at a trade fair in Kunming, promoting Myanmar’s crafts, nature, and tourism.
