Food Sufficiency : Efforts for development of agriculture and livestock

A ceremony was held in Katwin Village-tract in Bago Township on September 5 to provide agriculture inputs to the farmers under the harvest payment program.

Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win attended the ceremony and urged farmers to cultivate quality species and to strive for boosting yield. They later provided fertilizers to the monsoon paddy farmers from Katwin and Saiti  Village-tract. After the ceremony, the Chief Minister and party inspected the duck farm and instructed for extended implementation of poultry and piggery for ensuring local food sufficiency.
