






The Yangon Region Government Coordination Meeting (9/2025 was held at the Mingalar Hall of the Yangon Region Government Office on September 3rd, and attended by Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein, members of Region Government, and departmental heads at the region level.
At the meeting, a responsible official presented the progress made on the resolutions adopted at the Region-Level Departmental Coordination Meeting (8/2025) which had been held on August 5.
In his opening address, Chief Minister U Soe Thein urged collaborative efforts to ensure the successful and smooth holding of a free and fair multiparty democracy general election. He instructed departmental heads to exercise strict supervision over their respective offices, particularly in matters of personnel and document security without leniency. He further stressed the importance of promptly reporting any unusual incidents or developments in a timely manner.
Following this, Region Government Secretary U Khin Maung San presented and explained directives and guidelines received from the National Defense and Security Council Office, the Union Government Office, and relevant ministries.
Officials from the Yangon City Development Committee, the Region Development Affairs Committee, the Department of Public Health, the Office of the Education Officer, the Department of Fire Services, the Department of Irrigation and Water Utilization Management, Yangon Electricity Supply Corporation, the Department of Rural Road Development, the Directorate of Water Resources and Improvement of River Systems, and the Directorate of Road Transportation reported on the progress of projects implemented under the Union and Region budgets and development funds for the 2025–2026 fiscal year.
After that, members of Region Government and departmental heads presented sector-wise reports on the projects already completed and those that remain to be carried out. The meeting concluded with closing remarks delivered by the Chief Minister of Yangon Region.
