Flood Prevention Measures: Kayah State CM inspected flood prevention measures

Flood prevention measures are being carried out in low-lying area within Loikaw City due to rising water level of Belu Creek caused by torrential rainfalls. Kayah State Chief Minister U Zaw Myo Tin accompanied by concerned officials inspected the silt management, agriculture and regional development measures near Thatta Balu Village on 3rd September.  There, the Chief Minister heard reports on benefits of flood prevention measures and instructed on work safety and timely implementation of the process.

Later, the Chief Minister inspected the corn and peanut plantations near Belu Creek and instructed on timely cultivation of the flood affected corn plantations and to dry the cultivated corns to reduce loss and damage. Likewise, the Chief Minister coordinated requirements on increasing per acre yields, wide usage of modern technology and acceleration of multi cropping.

 Subsequently, the Chief Minister proceeded to Treasure Corn Paddy and Corn Dry Factory in Ye Ni Kan Village , inspected the operation of the factory.

On arrival at Basic Education Primary School Thatta Balu, the Chief Minister inspected the teaching and learning condition, instructed on facelifting of the school and provided cash assistance for all round development of the school.
