







An award ceremony to honor students who excelled in the 2024-2025 matriculation exam was held at the Bago City Hall on September 2 and attended by the Bago Region Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win and his wife, who presented the awards.
First, students from Basic Education High School No. (8) in Bago performed a song titled "Moving Forward with Comprehensive Education" to open a ceremony honoring students who excelled in the 2024-2025 matriculation exam.
Then, Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win spoke, stating that the students who excelled in the 2025 matriculation exam were those who took full advantage of their learning opportunities. He said the region government honors their outstanding achievement, which they accomplished by making the most of their circumstances and opportunities.
He also encouraged them to continue working hard to achieve their goals in higher education. Following his speech, Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win presented certificates and cash awards to two students who achieved distinctions in all six subjects and to the high school with the best overall performance.
His wife presented awards to the two students with five distinctions and the high schools that placed second. After that, the Region Minister for Security and Border Affairs presented awards to three students who received five distinctions and to the high schools that placed third.
Other government ministers, the secretary, and the Bago Region Education Officer presented certificates and cash awards to the 52 students who achieved four distinctions. The students then performed a song, and the Chief Minister and his wife presented them with cash awards.
Finally, a student who earned six distinctions expressed words of thanks. The Chief Minister and officials then warmly greeted and encouraged the award-winning students and their parents.
