Britain’s National Living Wage increased on Tuesday, granting eligible workers an annual boost of £1,400. Prime Minister Keir Starmer emphasized the impact of the adjustment.
Keir Starmer, British Prime Minister said "The National Living Wage is being adjusted today. It's going up you'll be pleased to know and that means that on average people will be 1,400 pounds better off a year, which is a lot of money, will make a significant difference. It'll affect probably the amount that all you will be receiving, all your colleagues will receive and obviously customers as well."
While inflation slowed over the past two years, households continued to face financial strain, with new increases in household bills set for April. The cost-of-living crisis remained a central concern across the UK.
