Emmanuel Macron receives European Chiefs of staff in Paris

France's President Emmanuel Macron has told military chiefs and others attending an international defense conference in Paris that a plan should be developed to ensure that Ukraine has security guarantees.

Macron addressed a closed-door session of the three-day conference on Tuesday. Military chiefs from more than 30 mainly European countries are among those participating in the meeting. Macron is said to have pointed out that credible security guarantees need to be defined, so that a solid and lasting peace can be achieved.
