Mozambique opposition leader arrives at attorney general's office

Mozambique opposition leader Venâncio Mondlane appeared at the Attorney General’s Office in Maputo to respond to charges related to post-election violence that resulted in numerous deaths and significant damage. 

Mondlane is a target in eight cases linked to protests and unrest following the October elections. Speaking to journalists, he described the charges as a form of intimidation.

He also referenced complaints filed with the Attorney General’s Office, including an alleged assassination attempt and cases of violence against his political organization. The hearing, initially scheduled for Monday, was postponed at Mondlane's request.
