The two astronauts who have been “stranded” on the International Space Station for nine months are said to be in good spirits, according to the commander of the astronaut team that is expected to finally relieve them in coming days.

Boeing Starliner astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams were expected to only stay on the station for about a week when they originally arrived at the ISS last June. But their Boeing craft was deemed too unsafe to return on, and alternative transportation has been beset by delays.
