Emergency teams are making progress in combating wildfires in Los Angeles as a night-time curfew is enforced in parts of the city. At least 11 people are now known to have been killed since the fires began on Tuesday.

The latest flare-up has prompted more evacuation orders as flames approach Brentwood, where the US vice president, Kamala Harris, has a home. Most of the fires have been burning for days, including a street in Altadena, where the Eaton fire is burning.
