



The Central Body for Summoning People’s Military Servants held its Coordination Meeting No. (6/2024) at the meeting hall of the Ministry of Defense in Nay Pyi Taw in the afternoon on September 3rd.
The meeting was attended and delivered an opening remark by Admiral Tin Aung San, Chairman of Central Body for Summoning People’s Military Servants, member of State Administration Council, Deputy Prime Minister Union Minister of Defense.In his opening remark at the meeting, Chairman of Central Body Admiral Tin Aung San said that several meetings have been held for drafting the People’s Military Service Law.
After receiving and reviewing recommendations from the central Committee members Union Ministries, Naypyidaw Council, and Regions/States, the by-law was drafted and now the latest seventh draft law has been available.Training programs from the batch (1) to (4) have been successfully conducted.
The Naypyidaw Council, Regions and States Committee for Summoning People’s Military Servants have been able to implement to meet the goal with the least weakness of administrative process.
However, there are still areas of strength and weakness related to the acceptance of trainees, and it is encouraged that discussions and suggestions could be made regarding these processes.Subsequently, Vice Chairman of the Central Body Committee General Maung Maung Aye clarified matters related to exemptions, reductions, and deferments.
Then, the members of Central Body discussed the related sectors and the Chairman of Central Body coordinated requirements. In the concluding remarks, Chairman of Central Body Admiral Tin Aung San emphasized the need for adherence to the law by the Committees for Summoning People’s Military Servants in Regions and States, ensuring that those not meeting the age requirements are excluded, and timely submission of matters related to exemptions, reductions, and deferments to the central committee.
He also mentioned the ongoing implementation of the National Service Information Management System (NSIMS) and stressed the importance of coordination with relevant ministries for effective execution of the system.
