SAC Information Team: Clarification on the points of recent peace talk

Leader of the Information Team of the State Administration Council, Maj-Gen Zaw Min Tun, made clarifications on Monday, highlighting the on questions raised by the Media and organizations regarding with the peace talk conducted in Kunming City of the People’s Republic of China recently.

He mentioned the salient points that should be informed to the public in responding to the rumors spreading. For the first point, he assured that the territorial integrity and sovereignty will be strongly maintained, the path of ceasefire and reducing of conflict will be continued for the stability of the local people, the stability of border area, rule of law, management of border gates and trade will be under the Administration of the governments of the two countries, Myanmar Government is carrying out the protection of the interests relating to the China and Myanmar and it will be continued, the drugs production and distribution and the cyber crimes will be cracked down decisively with the cooperation of both countries.

Myanmar will never accept any action that harms the interest of the neighboring countries using the territory of Myanmar. As the last point, the Information team leader expressed his gratitude to the government of PRC and stakeholders who organize the peace talk.
