Bangladesh's national election schedule announced

The Election Commission of Bangladesh has set January 7, 2024 for the 12th parliamentary election. "The voting of the 12th Jatiya Sangsad elections will be held in 300 constituencies across the country on January 7, 2024," the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) said.

The CEC said the last date for submission of nomination papers is November 30 and the scrutiny of nomination papers will be held between December 1 and 4. Currently, the total number of voters in the country are about 119.7 million and the number of polling centers is around 42,000 with a total of 262,000 booths.
