Vietnamese Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính visited and held talks at the University of San Francisco during his working trip in the United States, on Monday. At the talks, the Vietnamese Prime Minister stressed that his country identifies education as a top national policy. Therefore, cooperation in education and training, especially high-quality personnel training, is a focus of joint relations and one of Vietnam’s three major concerns.
The Prime Minister proposed that the University of San Francisco take the lead in cooperating with Vietnam by providing more scholarships for Vietnamese students, especially in new fields such as innovation and digital and green transformation. The government leader also hoped that Vietnamese students at USF would continue to promote Vietnamese traditional cultural values and act as a bridge to bolster Vietnamese-US relations.
