China, Italy look to advance exchange, cooperation

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and his Italian counterpart Antonio Tajani sought to push for more bilateral cooperation as they met at the 11th Joint Meeting of the China-Italy Government Committee in Beijing on Monday. 

Wang spoke highly of the achievements of China-Italy cooperation in various fields. He noted that the leaders of the two countries maintained close exchanges, steered the development of bilateral relations and consolidated the foundation of mutual trust.

Tajani said that Italy attaches great importance to developing long-term and stable relations with China, will continue to abide by the one-China policy, and looks forward to closer high-level exchanges with China with strengthened exchanges and cooperation in various fields. Wang and Tajani also attended the closing ceremony of the 11th Joint Meeting of the China-Italy Government Committee.
