National River Day

July 27th is another important day in Indonesia as it is commemorated every year as the national river day.

On this day Indonesia intends to appreciate and also encourage the community to increase their awareness in protecting rivers. 

To commemorate this national day people can just try to stop littering the rivers, to plant trees on the river sides and to socialize about river cleanliness.

River day is not observed only in Indonesia. There’s the International river day which is commemorated every September 23rd.
