Ministry of public security funds 1,200 houses for ethnic people in Soc Trang province

The Ministry of Public Security on Sunday allocated funding to build 1,200 houses for poor and Khmer ethnic families in the Mekong Delta province of SocTrang, a city in Vietnam. Each house to be built will receive more than 2,100 USD.

In the past 2 years, the province has mobilized 7 million USD to build nearly 3,500 houses for poor households. In which, Khmer people have been given 1,253 houses, accounting for about 36%. 5,200 houses for people with meritorious service and poor households in urgent need of housing have also been built in the province.
