South Korea and Japan hold security talks

South Korea and Japan on Monday held director-level security talks between defense and diplomatic officials for the first time in five years.

Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs Director General for Asian and Oceanian Affairs Bureau Takehiro Funakoshi, South Korean Director-General of the Asian and Pacific Affairs Bureau Seo Min-jeong, Japanese Deputy Director-General of Defense Policy at the Defense Ministry Ando Atsushi and South Korean Deputy Director General of the International Policy Bureau Woo Kyoung-suk took part in the meeting in Seoul.
