Indonesia on Saturday sent aid and a search and rescue team to Türkiye following a devastating earthquake which has left nearly 24,000 people dead. An urban search and rescue team made up of 62 personnel from the National Search and Rescue Agency and the National Disaster Mitigation Agency flew out from Indonesia's Halim Perdana Kusuma Airbase on Saturday morning along with five tons of aid.

The supplies included food, blankets, winter clothing, tents and solar-powered lamps, as well as K-9 sniffer dogs. A separate team of 90 health workers from the health ministry, the Indonesian National Armed Forces and the National Police, as well as humanitarian organizations, would be deployed to Türkiye on Monday where the team was expected to set up an emergency hospital.
