








Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing together with the Council Joint Secretary Lt-Gen Ye Win Oo, the Union Ministers and senior military officers inspected maintenance of the National Kandawgyi Gardens in Pyin Oo Lwin on 2nd December.
At the briefing hall, officials reported on salient points of the Gardens, lessening water resources by the forest depletion, maintenance of water drainages, inflow of water into the lakes, beautifying tasks and plan to hold the 15th Flower Festival.
In response to the reports, the Prime Minister said that Pyin Oo Lwin is called a hill resort town, Cherry and flower city so that the indigenous flower species must be planted in the garden to keep them in full bloom.
In order to preserve the local strains, it needs to carry out a flower research farm. Measures must be undertaken that the flowers are always in full bloom for the visitors to have peace of mind. He stressed the needs on greening of the gardens and better water flow into the lakes.
Later, the Prime Minister and party viewed around the National Kandawgyi Gardens in motorcades. They also looked into construction of water spillway and instructed the needs.
Due to the less of water inflow into the lakes in the National Kandawgyi Gardens in the previous years, according to the instructions of the Prime Minister during his visits to Pyin Oo Lwin in September and December 2021 and in April 2022, the concerned departments performed maintenance tasks for water resources in order to improve the watershed area of the lake and increase the water inflow.
On the 1st December, the Prime Minister and party visited Pwe Kauk or B.E waterfalls. There, the Prime Minister called for beautifying tasks in the resort and forest paths. He then looked into construction of sky cable and viewed around Pwe Kauk or B.E waterfalls and cordially greeted people who are taking relaxation.
The Prime Minister then enjoyed demonstration of baby elephants, gave feeds and presented cash. The prime minister and party then observed the forest walkway that is constructed for enjoying the beauty of natural forest for the visitors and inspected the site for the construction of sky cable.
Due to increasing number of shops, garbage throwing with lack of discipline and cutting down of trees, there were deterioration of natural environment and ecosystems at the Pwe Kauk waterfalls. According to the instructions of the Prime Minister, upgrading and maintenance tasks have been carried out at the waterfalls.
There are 3 waterfalls inside the resort and the first LED glass bridge in Myanmar has been built with world-class standards. The glass bridge in addition to suspension bridges, log houses, coffee shop and forest paths, recreational areas and the children's playgrounds have been upgraded and now the 554-meter long Sky Cable is also being built and it will be opened soon.
