Welfare for Former Selected Players: Former Myanmar selected players gathered in Yangon

Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs U Min Thein Zan attended a gathering ceremony of former Myanmar selected players, held at National Indoor Stadium (1) Thuwunna in Yangon on Sunday.

In his speech, the Union Minister said the ministry if striving for winning many medals in the upcoming 32nd SEA Games that will be held in May 2023 in Cambodia. He urged the former selected players to share the experiences to the new generation players.

The Union Minister later presented 1 million kyat donated by the Sports and Physical Education Department, 250 sports shirts and 25 Tracksuits. Well wishers also made donations of cash and kinds for the association.

The Association for Former Myanmar Selected Players was established in April 2016, aiming to support for development of Myanmar sports sector and to provide welfare activities for the former selected players. Since its establishment, 314 former selected players have joined the association.
