Myanmar-India: Meeting of India-Myanmar Merchants Association held

Union Minister for Commerce U Aung Naing Oo attended the meeting of the members of India-Myanmar Merchants Association held at India Centre at the corner of Merchant Street and ShweBonTha Street in Yangon on November 27.

At the meeting, the Union Minister and Indian Ambassador to Myanmar gave opening speeches.Next, the matters on boosting bilateral trade and investment between Myanmar and India, increase of export to the market of India, easy and smooth trade and the obstacles encountered at the process of commerce were discussed and the Union Minister coordinated requirements with the responsible officials from the related departments.

Then, the Indian Ambassador to Myanmar presented memorable gift to the Union Minister, posed for documentary group photo and concluded the occasion.Attended at the meeting were Indian Ambassador to Myanmar, permanent secretary of the Ministry of Commerce, officials from the Custom department, Internal Revenue, directorate of investment and company administration and Central Bank of Myanmar and 45 members of India-Myanmar Merchants Association, it’s learnt.
