Educational Meeting: Talks with Russian higher education delegation

Union Minister for Education Dr. Nyunt Pe on Thursday afternoon held talks with a delegation of higher education from universities of the Russian Federation.

During the meeting at the Ministry of Education in Nay Pyi Taw, the two sides discussed implementation of the issue of promoting educational cooperation between the two countries discussed during the visit of Chairman of the State Administration Council to the Russian Federation, signing of a memorandum of understanding on education, the quality of education and recognition of degrees, signing of a memorandum of understanding on educational cooperation between the two countries’ universities, research cooperation, exchange of Myanmar language teachers and Russian language teachers, teacher exchange, student exchange, sending scholars, priority selection of Myanmar university teachers applying for the Russian Government Scholarship (2023) program and promoting the quality of Naypyitaw State Academy teachers and students and organizing online seminars.

Also, a list of priority academic fields and degree courses for which the Myanmar universities wish to receive scholarships from universities of the Russian Federation was presented to the delegation.
