Exported of Maize silage: About 50,000 tons of maize silage to China

Myanmar exported about 50,000 tons of maize silage to China through the Muse border gate every year and has been planned to produce 200,000 tons per year. Also corn and more than 2 million tons of seed corn are exported to China by sea trade.

Min Khaing, Honorary Degree, Myanmar Corn Industrial Association-MCIA, said " Maize silage is mainly produced in Lashio and Kachin state and about 50,000 tons exported to China though the Muse border gate every year.  Also we have planned to produce about 200,000 tons of maize silage. At present, we have passed the General Administration of Customs China- GACC and regularly exported to China by sea trade. And we are trying to export maize through the border gate and only thousand of corns are exported to China currently."

The good quality monsoon corns are starting harvest in Shan state (North) this year and will be able to export a large amount of corn in coming December.
