India/Myanmar relations: MoFA Union Minister receives Indian delegation

Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Wunna Maung Lwin received the Indian delegation led by Mr. Vinay Mohan Kwatra, Foreign Secretary of the Ministry of External Affairs of India on 21 November at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nay Pyi Taw.

At the courtesy call, they cordially discussed and exchanged views on enhancing the existing friendly bilateral relations and promoting cooperation between the two countries in the areas, inter alia, trade, investment, and ongoing development projects, strengthening closer collaboration in regional and multilateral contexts including the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and the United Nations, andother mattersof mutual interests.

Present at the courtesy call were Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs U Kyaw Myo Htut and senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Myanmar. The Indian Foreign Secretary was accompanied by Indian Ambassador to Myanmar and the Joint Secretary and responsible officials from the Ministry of External Affairs of India.
