Illegal Trade: Illegal goods and teak seized

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

On the 18th, 19th and 20th of November, illegal electrical accessories, industrial materials, trailers, tractor head, steel wares, cosmetic products, tiles, frozen meat and teak worth over 447 million Kyats were seized at the Myanmar Industrial Port container checkpoint and on the Myawaddy-Hpa-An-Yangon highway, at the cargo garage of Yangon International Airport, at the Pauktine bridge checkpoint, at the Mayanchaung checkpoint, at the checkpoint of Tagoung ward and in Bago and Toungoo districts.

Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
