Russia-Myanmar: Battery Production Company in Moscow visited

A Myanmar delegation led by Union Minister for Electric Power U Thaung Han and Union Minister for Science and Technology Dr Myo Thein Kyaw along with Myanmar Ambassador to the Russian Federation U Lwin Oo and officials visited Renera battery production (Electric Vehicles and Energy Storage Systems) company under the Rosatom, Moscow, Russia, on the morning of 16 November.

The Myanmar delegation studied the Energy Storage System (commercial power management module) produced by Renera, a company that packs batteries (Electric Vehicles and Energy Storage Systems) under Rosatom, and asked in detail what they wanted to know.

Then, Natalia G. Leonteva, Director of Business Development, gave a brief history of the factory and explained cooperation with foreign countries, lithium-ion based battery manufacturing, planning to expand the production of electric vehicles at the factory. Regarding the briefings, the Union Ministers said that they are very grateful to such emphatic clarifications.

They discussed in detail other issues, including the possibility of cooperation and investment in the electrical and industrial works that are currently being carried out for the development of Myanmar. It is reported that Russia-Myanmar bilateral cooperation in the electricity sector will greatly contribute to friendly cooperation. The Myanmar delegation left for Saint Petersburg by speed train 772 A through Leningradskiy railway station in the afternoon local time.
