Coordination meeting: Meeting with rectors, pro-rectors and professors held

The Union Minister for Education Dr. Nyunt Pe held a coordination meeting with the rectors, pro-rectors and professors from the universities and degree colleges at the ministry, Nay Pyi Taw in the morning on Wednesday.

At the meeting, the union minister said the cooperation of the faculty members to be successful in the teaching and learning activity for the 2022-2023 academic year, extension of enrolment date to the end of the November, monthly updating of personal data of the officers and staff members, close supervising of rectors and pro-rectors in the teaching and learning in the class rooms etc. 

Next, the deputy minister Dr. Zaw Myint clarified to participate in the exhibition of diamond jubilee Independence Day celebration with the science display booths, extension of applied subjects that facilitate the MSMEs, opening doctorate degree course at least in one university in every region and state and the plans to implement applied research works.

Then, the permanent secretary Dr. Soe Win and director general of the higher education department Dr. Win Tun explained the work plans to reopen the universities.

Afterward, the Union Minister accompanied by the deputy ministers Dr. Zaw Myint, U Zaw Win and officials visited Naypyitaw State Academy, viewed the practicing and learning the subjects in the practical room, cordially greeted the students and gave encouragements.

At the meeting hall of the university, the union minister met with the pro-rectors, professors and associate professors, gave necessary instructions and coordinated requirements, it’s learnt.
