Paying visit to hydro power plants: MoEP Union Minister discussed bilateral cooperation

Myanmar delegation led by the Union Minister for Electric Power U Thaung Han who is currently in Russian Federation to attend the research exploratory journey and 12th ATOMEXPO 2022 visited Zagorskaya PSPP hydro-based power plant near Moscow in the morning on November 14.

The responsible officials took Myanmar delegation round the power plant including Water Intake, Observation deck, 500 KV Switchyard, hydropower generators operating in the plant and main control panel.

Next, the head of PJSC RusHydro, International Cooperation Department Mr. Artem Sokhikyan and director of Zagorskaya PSPP Mr. Victor Zhiznevskiy clarified regarding with the RusHydro Group and Zagorskaya PSPP and the Union Minister expressed words of thanks for the warm welcoming and discussed the friendly cooperation between Russian Federation and Myanmar in the electricity generating sector, it’s beneficial for the our country by observing the operation of 1200 MW Pump Storage hydro power plant, the company’s investment in Myanmar is invited and asked the facts about the power plant.

A team comprised of experts from RusHydro Group will pay visit to Myanmar during January and February 2023 to extend helping hand for the technologies necessary to be observed the water resources in Myanmar.
