Gathering luncheon: MoHT organized gathering luncheon for the staffs

The union minister Dr. Htay Aung attended the gathering luncheon organized for the personnel from the ministry of hotel and tourism with the aims at the systematic and sustainable development of hotel and tourism industries and the acknowledging the civil service personnel who are serving the duties of the country held at noon on Monday at the Jade Hall of the ministry, Nay Pyi Taw.

In his remark before the gathering luncheon, the Union Minister Dr. Htay Aung said that apart from such gathering, monthly staff meeting, occasional events and seminars are often held to meet with the staffs cordially.

The department in-charges and the regions and states branch office in-charges who are at the management level are also met not only on the office days but also on the weekends if it’s necessary.

Moreover, the coordinations with the travel agencies and tourism associations from the private sector are being carried out for the development of the industry. 

Due to the guidance and encouragement of the Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and the supervising and guiding of the Chairman of the National Tourism Industry Development Central Committee, Vice Chairman of State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister Vice Senior General Soe Win, Myanmar Hotel and Tourism Industry progresses amidst the COVID-19 pandemic and other challenges starting from October, 2021 and the tourists arrival grew at 62% in comparison with the same period of previous year from April, 2022 after resuming regular international flights and allowance of e-visa for the international tourists. As the consequences, the revenue and rental fee rose at 132.23% from the estimate for 7 months from April to October and the progress made at 161.05% in comparison with the same period of previous year etc.

Next, the union minister presented memorable gifts to the staff members and enjoyed luncheon together with the directors general, deputy director generals, departmental in-charges and the staff members. 

The ministry’s gathering luncheon is also held at 38 branch offices in the states and regions simultaneously, it’s learnt.
