Sea-going hospital ship: Tatmadaw medical team provides healthcare services

The Tatmadaw sea-going hospital ship (Thanlwin) with the Tatmadaw Mobile Medical Team onboard which plans to provide medical services to the residents of Nga PuTaw Township in Ayeyawady Region continued to offer healthcare services to 689 local people in the Township based on the People’s Hospital on 13th November.

As such doings, healthcare services were provided to 271 medical treatment patients, surgeries to 37 patients, 26 patients with obstetric/gynaecological diseases, 14 child disease patients, 77 orthopaedic patients, 26 patients with ear/nose/throat, 199 eyes related patients and 39 patients with oral disease, altogether 689.

Moreover, the medics diagnosed 28 ultrasound scanning patients, 22 patients for ECG and 31 patients for lab tests and provided arrangements for the patients to receive medical treatment at the nearest military hospitals and people’s hospitals. Such providing medical services were viewed and encouraged by the commander of South-West Command Brigadier General Kyi Khaing and officials, donated eye glasses to the eye patients and presented nutritious foods.
