Preparations for Election: UEC conducting election process

The Union Election Commission (UEC) is continuously conducting the election process that must be prepared to hold a free and fair multiparty democratic general election and obtain the right to vote freely under the law.

UEC members U Aung Moe Myint, U Aung Saw Win and U Ba Ran Shaung verified the lists of designated voters in Aungmyaythazan Township, Patheingyi Township, Madaya Township, PyinOoLwin Township, in Aungmyaythazan District and PyinOoLwin District, in Mandalay Region on 13th October. 

In addition to verifying and approving the locations of the designated polling stations, the verification and calculation of polling station equipment to be used in various townships were conducted and coordination meetings were carried out, and the needs and difficulties were coordinated.

The coordination meeting was held at the Mandalay Region Government Office meeting hall. The region administrator, head of region Immigration, administrators from respective districts and townships, heads of district and township Immigration, and officials from region, district and township Election Sub-Commissions attended the meeting.
