





The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation is encouraging the farmers to use Seeding Machine which can contribute for environmental conservation and bring benefits to the farmers.
The Mechanized Farming Department on Sunday demonstrated the use of Seeding Machine at KinPunTan Village in Pyinmana Township. Union Minister U Tin Htut Oo urged to make cooperative arrangements among the priviate entrepreneurs for widely use of the equipment to the farmers.
At the Agro-economy Eeducative Center in PawSanKhaw Village, the Union Minister met with members of Water User Group, and urged them to make cooperative efforts for growing tripple crops in the catchment area of PaungLaung Dam.
The Union Minister and party later inspected the PaungLaung irrigated system and crop plantations. In meeting with the officials, the Union Minister gave instructions on boosting production and growing the crops that could benefit the farmers.
PaungLaung Dam contributes over 20,000 acres farmland from Pyinmana and Lewe Townships of Nay Pyi Taw and Yaydashe Township of Bago Region. About 19,000 acres monsoon paddy plantations have been cultivated in 2022-2023 and over 15,000 acres beans and pulses and sesame and over 12,000 summer paddy are targeted to grow as winter crops. The Union Minister and party later viewed the caged culture fish farming in PaungLaung Creek.
