Maha Pathana Dhamma Discourses: The uninterrupted recitation to be carried out for 5 days

The opening ceremony of Zabuthiri Township’s 2nd edition of uninterrupted recitation of Maha Pathana Dhamma Discourses organized by the Nay Pyi Taw Council was held at Thayakone monastery, ShweKyarPin Ward, Zabuthiri Township, Pyinmana District at 10 AM on Sunday and was graced by the members of Sangha led by the secretary Sayadaw of Township Sanghanayaka committee and presiding Sayadaw of Shar Taw monastery.

At the ceremony, Chairman of Nay Pyi Taw Council U Tin Oo Lwin and wife and the council members, departmental officials and congregation observed five precepts administered by the presiding Sayadaw of Shar Taw  monastery.

Next, the Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman U Tin Oo Lwin supplicated the religious affairs and the chairman and officials respectfully presented the books of the Maha Pathana Dhamma Discourses, Pathana and Paritta pots and Paritta water to the members of Sangha.

Then, the congregation led by the members of Sangh recited Pathana Paccayuddesa three times, concluded ceremony by praying for the perpetuation of the Buddha Sasana and offered ‘Soon’ (Day Meal) to the members of Sangha. The uninterrupted recitation of Maha Pathana Dhamma Discourses will be conducted for five days from 13th to 17th November, it’s learnt.
