Inspection Tour: Union Minister makes inspections in Magway Region

Union Minister for Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation U Khin Maung Yi made an inspection tour in Magway Region.

On November 11, in Taungdwingyi Township area, the Union Minister inspected the 100-acre 51 kinds of timber plantation, hear reports and gave necessary instructions.

On November 12, in Sinpaungwe Township, the Union Minister inspected the condition of over 16,000 trees plantation in Tharsi and Tawpone forest serve areas.

Also, in Singaung-Ziai forest reserve, the Union Minister inspected condition of over 10,000 trees plantation and 50-acre plantation for firewood.

There, the Union Minister called on concerned officials to accelerate recovery of forest cover, to plant trees suitable for the region effectively, to expand the plantation for firewood and to continue distribution of stoves to local residents that can use agricultural waste and save 40 percent of wood fuel consumption.

The Union Minister continued his inspection trip to Thaekone Village of Minbu Township where rain water storage lakes were built, met with locals and fulfilled requirements. The Union Minister also inspected condition of over 110,000 saplings for the 2023 monsoon season.
