Collective Efforts: Those made efforts in electric tower repair work honoured

A ceremony to honour those who took part in repairing the tower of GantGaw-Hakha section National Grid took place on 11th November. Chief Minister of Chin State Dr Wong Hsun Htan expressed thanks to the collective efforts of all concerned persons for their contribution.

Due to the strong wind that struck on 24th October, Tower No.121, about 7 miles from Hakha, and caused power outage. It distributes electric power to Hakha, Htantalan and Falam from 66 KV Gantgaw Sub-station.

The repairing process commenced on November 4th with the collective efforts of the Project Manager and 17 staff from the Department of Power Transmission and System Control under the Ministry of Electric Power, staff from District and Township Power Distribution Offices in Chin State, Reverend Bishops and community elders of Hakha.

The repair works completed on 9th November, and power transmission back to normalcy starting 6:18 pm on the same day.
