Illegal Trade: Illegal teak and commodities seized

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

On the 6th, 7th and 8th of November, illegal teak doors and window frames and commodities worth over 34 million Kyats were seized on the Yangon-Pyay Road and at the Kawkareik (Tadakyoe) combined checkpoint as well as in Toungoo district. Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
