Illegal Trade: Illegal commodities, teak and ironwood seized

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

On the 2nd, 5th and 6th of November, illegal commodities, teak and ironwood worth over 124 million Kyats were seized on the Myawaddy-Hpa-An-Yangon road, at Naungnun check point in Kengtung Township and in the Yenwe forest reserve of Nyaunglebin District.

Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
