Tazaungdaing Mood: People perform good deeds & release hot-air balloons

As Tazaungmone full moon is a significant day of Myanmar people, people performed good deeds across the nation. The historic Sandalwood KyaungTawyar Pagoda in PwintPyu Township of Magway region was crowded with people performed good deeds on Monday.

Likewise, Buddha Pujaniya festivals were held at the prominent pagodas in Mawlawmyine of Mon State on the same day. The Tazaungdaing lights festival including Taungzaingmone full moon day (Samannaphala day) was held on the eve and full moon day by offering lights.

People also held alms bowl drifting ceremony dedicating to to Shin UpaguttaArahat at the dawn of the full moon day. Charity feats were also given to pilgrims and visitors at the pagodas and people in wards and villages and this activity is a tradition of Myanmar people on the significant days.

Moreover, Tazaungdaing Light festival and market festival is being held at the People’s Square and Park in Yangon starting 6th November. The entertainment program is arranged for the people who come to the festival along with decorating colorful lights.

Likewise, the opening of 4thTazaungdaing festival was held at the Yan Taing Aung MyoOo Pagoda in Lashio, Shan State North and ethnic traditional dances were staged and the hot-air balloons were released. In Ayeyawady region, Tazaungdaing light Festival and hot-air releasing ceremony was held on Chaungtha beach for the 1st time in the evening of 6th November.
