Honouring Ceremony: Magway Region Government honours U-16 team

Magway Region Government honoured its U-16 team which won the 1st prize in the 2022 state/region U-16 men’s football tournament.

Chief Minister U Tint Lwin attended this honouring ceremony at the town hall in Magway Township, expressed words of congratulations to the team, highlighted the regional government’s efforts for development of youths and urged members of the team to try in order to become national footballers.

And, cash awards were presented to the team, best player, best striker and coaches. Also, the Chief Minister and town elders provided 3.2 million Kyats for sports sector development in the Region.

This honouring ceremony included entertainment programmes and dinner. It’s reported that to achieve success in the state/region U-16 men’s football tournament, Magway Region Government held the U-16 men’s football tournament for the Chief Minister’s Cup and best players from the regional tournament were selected and trained for the state/region tournament.
