Kayin Traditional Don Dance Competition: 20 dance troupes participate in the 5-day competition

In commemoration of the 67th anniversary Kayin State Day, the Kayin Traditional Don Dance Competition commenced on 5th November.

SAC members Mahn Nyein Maung and Saw Daniel, the Union Ministers, and the Chief Minister enjoyed the competing of the constants dance troupes.

Altogether 4 million kyats cash rewards were presented to the participating dance troupes by the SAC members, the Union Ministers, the Chief Minister and state ministers.

A total of 20 traditional Don dance troupes representing the townships and villages in Kayin State are taking part in the competition which will be held from 5th to 9th November. About 10 dance troupes will compete each night, and the winning teams will be awarded with prizes on the 10th.
